2023 Annual General Meeting

We held our 2023 AGM on November 2nd.

Despite the weather being atrocious we had a good turn out, 25 full members which was sufficient to make the meeting quorate.

The meeting started at 7:30pm and finished at 9:05pm

I have attached the preliminary minutes of the meeting - note that these will not be signed off as an accurate record until the AGM next year. In the mean time please feel free to have a read and get in touch if you think there are any errors or ommissions.

Changes were agreed to the constitution and the flying rules - I am currently updating these to reflect the comments made at the meeting. They will be linked to the website once complete.

It was agreed that the club subscription will go up from £60 to £65. We await to hear what increase there will be from BMFA, they have their AGM on the 18th November so we should know shortly after then.

The chairman, Gary Jones, gave a summary of the 2023 highlights - I have attached this to the minutes.

Two members were voted onto the committee, John Stockton and Ed Hampartsoumian both of whom are looking forward to getting started and I'm very much looking forward to them joining the team.

Finally, congratulations to Dave Reeve who was overwhelming voted 'Modeller of the Year - well done Dave, well deserved.
